Bird's Nest for Spring

Got some more handmade hemp paper, plus the birds were singing like mad outside my window yesterday, so I decided to make one of my crazy little bird's nest books :)

that is so beautiful, and it gives me an idea what to do with some paper that was a gift. You've inspired me! yeah!

That's great, Dana! Hope you'll post a picture of your project when it's done...

HI, I have found your page via dana and Etsy, it seems we both have a thing about the moon and books bound by hand! Your books are beautiful and I have enjoyed looking at your site very much. I belong to a group of bookbinders in England, one of our guests was Sue Doggett, I notice that you have recommended her book. It's always nicer to see a craftsman at work, books are good but I think you learn more by watching experts at work.

Lucky you, to get to visit with Sue Doggett! I've found her book to be really useful. I love living out in the wilds of the British Columbia interior, but it does mean that there are scant opportunities for meeting other bookbinders, unfortunately.

Wow. I love your bookbinding (and some of the printed images too). I just joined a Book Arts Guild, so this stuff is fascinating.

I really like this one - I'm creating a limited edition range of artists books at the moment, and yours are an inspiration. Thanks!
