Charity Book Sold!

Yay! I donated this book to the BEST charity fund drive, and it has sold!

BEST (Bookbinding Etsy Street Team) is a group of bookbinders on Etsy, and we recently donated books for a fundraiser for H.E.L.P. International. H.E.L.P. International is a registered charity dedicated to providing health care and education for children throughout the world who are orphaned, destitute or disabled.

There are still books to be had! If you'd like to see them, and support this great charity fundraiser, check out the BEST blog at http://etsybooks.blogspot.com/2008/02/test_17.html

Charity Drive Update

I belong to the Etsy Bookbinder's Street Team (BEST), and we're in the middle of a nine-week charity drive. We're donating some of our handmade books, and 100% of the profits (minus shipping and Paypal fees) from the sales of the books will be donated to H.E.L.P. International.

H.E.L.P. International is a registered charity dedicated to providing health care and education for children throughout the world who are orphaned, destitute or disabled.

Here is the book I'm donating. I used handmade banana bark and Korean papers for the covers. It has 80 lb Teton paper inside, good for writing, sketching and light wash watercolour. If you'd like to know more about this book, you can see it here in my Etsy store. You can also find more lovely donated books, on the BEST blog at http://etsybooks.blogspot.com/2008/02/test_17.html

Hope you can help us help H.E.L.P. International!

BEST Charity for Literacy

I am a member of BEST (Bookbinding Etsy Street Team) and we are having a nine-week fundraiser for the charity H.E.L.P. International. H.E.L.P. a registered charity dedicated to providing health care and education for children throughout the world who are orphaned, destitute or disabled.

BEST members are selling selected handcrafted books on their Etsy sites and 100% of the profits (minus Paypal and Etsy fees) will be sent directly to H.E.L.P. Here is the book I'm donating. It's a small handbound blank journal (4 1/2" x 6") with writing paper that is also good for sketching and light wash watercolour. It's a hardcover book, decorated with handmade Korean and Thai banana bark papers. You can find out more about this book at my Etsy shop.
To see other BEST member's donated books, check out the BEST blog. It's an opportunity to support a great cause, and get yourself a fabulous little handmade book :)
