Journal with Plum Wood Button

Here is a journal with a plum wood button on the cover. My sister kindly saved me some of the wood when she was pruning her plum tree. I'd never made buttons from fruit tree wood before, so it was interesting to see how they came out. I really like the dark swirl in the center of the button.

Your journals looks so user friendly, they make me want to pick them up and feel the leather! I love these wooden buttons that you are using also.

At the moment I am playing around with engraving wood, looking at your journals has given me the idea of maybe trying to engrave onto a wooden button, although I would need another lifetime to practice!

This is a beautiful journal! I also like you are making your own wooden buttons—very cool.

This is amazing! I am truly inspired. I am about to embark on my first attempt at creating a unique notebook for myself.
